Taking inspiration from summer colors and Nantucket’s icons, Alyson teaches fun and easy techniques for students to express their own personal style. You will be sure to come away from this class with a new understanding of design, palette and watercolor! DAY 1 & 2 Greeting Card Collection: Create 6 small paintings which will be paired with colorful envelopes and turned into a boxed set of greeting cards (materials included). DAY 3: Leave with a framed masterpiece: Grow a small idea into an 11” x 14” painting, which you will learn how to matt and frame. Novice painters to seasoned watercolorists will enjoy this engaging and relaxed class, as imagination is sparked for infinite future projects. ALL LEVELS WELCOME.

Why we love ACK
The energy of a Nantucket summer is unlike anything else you have ever experienced! If you are looking for a beautiful place to unwind while feeling a current of energy as strong as the tides, summer is a great time to visit. The advantage of taking this workshop is that you will immediately meet like-minded, creative people.
Nantucket is the perfect melting pot of New York City culture + island vibes + pastel preppy everywhere you look. I have met some of the most interesting people while painting on the island: actors, oyster farm proprietors, candle makers, Jamaican Uber drivers…the list goes on. The beaches are clean, the food is superb and the frose’ at Cisco Brewers is the best you will ever have.
I cannot wait to see you in August!
Nantucket, MA - Private Lesson
July 10-15, 2022
Learn new watercolor OR oil painting techniques with Alyson. Book a couple hours or spend a half day in the sunshine dusting off your brushes and creating something you will be proud of. This is the perfect way to receive individual attention or pop a bottle of champagne with a group of friends and have Alyson guide you through an instructed painting class.
The goal of our time will be to reinvigorate your life with art and explore what piques your interest. Will it be creating your own line of greeting cards? Making a piece of art to hang on your wall? Or receiving guidance on how to paint that horse, flower or boat you have been struggling to complete?

Why we love Carmel
This cozy town has exceptional history: Salvador Dali once lived here for 10 years and Steinbeck wrote his masterpieces inspired by the rich history of the Monterey Peninsula.
Carmel locals take great pride in their businesses and we continue to work with our favorite restaurants to bring to you an incredible experience: a workshop you will enjoy at any level while munching on Carmel’s finest bites and sipping wine picked out for you by the Chef-Owner, himself.
If this is your first time to Carmel, be sure to visit the white sands of Carmel Beach and the many beautiful stores in town! For a fun night out, we recommend Vesuvios followed by Barmel. By the end of the workshop you too may trade city living for cypress trees and ocean breezes!
Putting on a workshop is a labor of love and for that reason, they are offered seasonally. To be added to the upcoming workshop list, please contact:

Final thoughts
Carmel is very pet friendly although our workshops are pet-free since we serve food.
